Processione a Filignano 1968

Filignano

Filignano celebrates the Nativity of the Virgin (September 8th). In the past were also celebrated the days of Saint Michael Archangel (May 8th) and Saint Anthony (June 13th). On that date, an important livestock fair was held.

 

CerasuoloProcessione a Cerasuolo (anni '60)

The patron saint of Cerasuolo is Saint Pasquale Bajlonne, recurring on May 17; nevertheless, since emigrants come back to their places of origin in the summer, it is celebrated at the end of July.

Processione a Selvone (anni '50)Selvone

The patron saint of Selvone is Saint Peter. Other important religious festivals are those of Saint Anthony of Padua (13 giugno), Saint Anne’s (July 26th). Devotion for her is very deeply felt, also in the neighbouring towns.

Also important was the festival of the Madonna del Morzone, celebrated on May 18th  at the site of the chapel bringing the same name.

Another traditions are the bonfires of the night of Christmas. more
